Issue Position

Governor Corbett's massive cuts to public education have hurt our schools and led to significant property tax increases, putting our senior citizens and children at risk. Drastic proposals such as eliminating property taxes completely will impose new regressive taxes, undermine local autonomy, and betray our commitment to public education.

I will work tirelessly to create legislation that will allow our senior citizens to retire in the homes they've worked so hard to create.

I will support legislation that makes sure we're not kicking kids to the curb by neglecting their education.

I will fight to ensure that local school boards continue to play an important role in setting education spending within their school districts.

We simply don't win, as a state or as a nation, when we allow people to fall through the cracks.
